Teen Counseling in Frisco, TX
Your teen has been different lately. Quieter, angrier, or just not themselves. Maybe school flagged something. Maybe you can feel it but can’t name it.
Most parents have the same two worries. Will the therapist push my kid away from me? And what will they actually tell me? Those are fair questions, and we answer them straight.
At Mosaic Way Counseling, our Frisco therapists work with teens and keep parents in the loop. We meet in person at our Frisco office or online anywhere in Texas.

How We Handle Privacy With Parents
Teens open up when they trust the room. So your teen gets space to talk freely. At the same time, you’re their parent, and you stay informed.
Here’s the balance we use. Day-to-day session details stay between your teen and their therapist. Big themes, progress, and ways you can help at home get shared with you. And if your teen is ever at risk of harm, we tell you right away. Your therapist explains all of this in the first session so nobody is guessing.
This is the part most pages skip, and it’s usually a parent’s biggest question.
What We Help Teens With
Anxiety and panic. Low mood and depression. Anger and shutting down. School stress. Friendship and social pressure. Big changes like divorce or a move. Self-esteem and identity.
Frisco ISD sets a high bar. Between grades, sports, and the pressure to look fine, a lot of teens carry more than they show.
If Your Teen Doesn't Want to Go
That’s normal. You don’t have to win the argument. You can frame the first visit as a no-pressure talk, not a commitment. Often a teen relaxes once they meet a therapist who listens instead of lectures. Our free consultation is a low-stakes way to start.
Why Mosaic Way
We keep caseloads small, so your teen’s therapist isn’t stretched thin. Our therapists are experienced and EMDR-trained, and we match your teen to someone who fits their needs. Families often tell us the intake is easy and we respond quickly.
What It Costs
Sessions run $50 to $200 depending on licensure. We accept Aetna, Cigna, and Optimum directly. For other plans, we provide a monthly superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer teen counseling after school or on weekends?
Yes. We’re open Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 8 PM, so we can work around school and activities. We offer in person and online sessions.
What will my teen's therapist tell me?
You’ll hear themes, progress, and ways to help at home. Specific session talk stays private, unless there’s a safety risk, which we share right away.
My teen refuses to go. What now?
Start with the free consultation and frame it as a conversation, not therapy. Many teens warm up once they meet the right person.
Do you take insurance?
We accept Aetna, Cigna, and Optimum directly. For other plans, we give you a monthly superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
