Trauma Therapy in Frisco, TX

Trauma doesn’t always come from one big event. Sometimes it builds slowly. A hard childhood. A painful relationship. A loss you never got to grieve.

However it started, trauma changes how your body reacts to the world. You might feel anxious, numb, or stuck in patterns you can’t break. You don’t have to keep pushing through it alone.

At Mosaic Way Counseling, our Frisco therapists help you process what happened so it stops running your life. We see clients in person at our Frisco office or online anywhere in Texas.

What Trauma Therapy Actually Looks Like

Many people avoid therapy because they think they’ll have to relive their worst moments. That’s not how this works. Good trauma therapy helps your brain file painful memories away so they lose their grip.

We use two proven methods. EMDR uses guided eye movements to help your brain reprocess stuck memories. CBT helps you spot and change the thought patterns that formed after trauma. Your therapist often uses both, at a pace you set.

You stay in control the whole time. You decide what to share and when. Nothing gets forced.

Signs Trauma May Be Affecting You

Trouble sleeping. Feeling on edge for no clear reason. Avoiding certain people or places. Going numb. Anger that feels too big for the moment. A hard time trusting anyone.

If several of these sound familiar, it’s worth a conversation. You don’t need a diagnosis to start.

Why Families Here Choose Mosaic Way

Frisco moves fast. Between Frisco ISD schedules, demanding jobs, and the pull to look like you have it together, a lot of people carry old wounds in silence. Therapy gives that weight somewhere to go.

Our therapists are trained in EMDR, and several are EMDR-certified. Some also specialize in birth and maternal trauma. We keep caseloads small on purpose, so your therapist has real time for you. Clients often tell us we respond fast and that they feel safe by the end of the first visit.

What It Costs

Sessions run $50 to $200 depending on licensure. We accept Aetna, Cigna, and Optimum directly. For other plans, we provide a monthly superbill you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients apply what they pay toward their deductible.
