Therapists Serving Colleyville

Motherhood is supposed to feel like joy. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it feels like fear, grief, or a fog you can’t explain to anyone.

If that’s where you are, you’re not failing. And you don’t have to sort it out alone.

Colleyville clients meet our counselors at the Southlake office or by secure video. Home might be off SH-26 or near the Colleyville Nature Center trails. Either way, you can begin with a free 15-minute consultation.

Maternal Mental Health

Maternal mental health

Some of our counselors specialize in maternal mental health. They work with women through pregnancy, infertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, postpartum anxiety or depression, and the adjustment to motherhood.

This is a place to say the parts that feel hard to admit. That you miss your old life. That you’re scared something is wrong with you. That you love your baby and still feel lost.

See maternal mental health counseling and postpartum therapy.

Infertility and loss

Trying to conceive can take over a life. Each month brings hope and then another letdown. Friends announce pregnancies. Appointments pile up.

Pregnancy loss can feel lonely. Many people around you may not know it happened, or may not know what to say.

Counseling gives that grief a place to go. You won’t be rushed toward “moving on.”

Birth trauma and postpartum

A birth that went differently than planned can leave fear, anger, or flashbacks behind. Many of our therapists are EMDR trained. EMDR may help when the memory still feels present. See EMDR therapy.

Postpartum anxiety and depression don’t always look the way people expect. Racing thoughts. Constant checking. Feeling numb or on edge. If something feels off, it’s worth talking about.

Medication questions

Mosaic Way doesn’t prescribe medication. With your written permission, your counselor can work with your OB, another doctor, or a psychiatrist.

Your counselor can also help you decide whether to ask a doctor about it.

When it affects the whole family

A new baby changes a marriage. Sleep goes, roles shift, and old patterns get louder. See couples counseling .

Older siblings feel it too. Some of our child therapists work with children as young as 3, using play therapy in dedicated playrooms. See child and play therapy.

Other help

Teens can find their way in through art, music, or writing. See teen counseling. For worry that won’t switch off, see anxiety counseling.

Baby blues or something more?

Many new moms feel teary, worried, or worn out in the first two weeks after birth. Those mild, short-lived mood changes are often called the baby blues.

The National Institute of Mental Health notes that mood changes that are severe, or that last longer than two weeks, may be a sign of postpartum depression. Depression can also start during pregnancy.

If you’re past the two-week mark and still struggling, talk with your doctor, and reach out to us too.

When to reach out

The early weeks after a baby are hard for everyone. It may be time to talk to someone if you notice:

For partners

Partners often see the change first and don’t know what to say. Some feel shut out. Some carry their own stress quietly.

Couples sessions can help both of you talk about it. Partners can also come in on their own.

Your first visit

Your counselor will ask about your pregnancy, birth, and what the days feel like now. You don’t have to share it all at once.

Going back to work

Returning to work after a baby can stir up guilt, relief, and grief all at once. It’s okay to feel all three. Counseling gives you space to sort it out.

Anxiety during pregnancy

Pregnancy can bring worry about the baby, the birth, money, or how life will change. Some worry is normal. When it takes over your days or your sleep, it’s worth talking about.

Infertility and your relationship

Infertility can strain even strong couples. Schedules, tests, and hope can crowd out everything else.

Couples sessions give you space to talk about the stress, the grief, and the choices ahead, together.

Visits, hours, and cost

In-person sessions happen at our Southlake office. Our Southlake office is open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, and closed Sunday. Session times vary by therapist. Some of our therapists also meet by secure video with anyone located in Texas.

Our offices are built to feel warm and calm, not clinical. Entrances, parking, and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Sessions generally range from $100 to $200. The rate depends on the therapist’s license, experience, and the type of service. Couples and family sessions may have a different rate. We take cash, credit cards, and debit cards. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for eligible services.

We accept most eligible Aetna plans. That coverage runs through some of our associate-level counselors and licensed master social workers. They bill under a clinical supervisor. We check your coverage before you book.

Most of our fully licensed therapists are private pay. You may still be able to use out-of-network benefits. When it makes sense, we can give you a superbill. That’s a detailed receipt you send to your plan. It doesn’t guarantee you’ll be paid back.
