Therapists Serving Plano
Some people want a therapist who speaks their first language. Others want someone who knows what it’s like to grow up between two cultures. Or to move to a new country and start over.
That matters in counseling. It’s hard to feel understood when you’re translating your feelings in your head first.
Plano clients meet us in person at our Frisco office. Near Legacy West, around Willow Bend, or anywhere else in Collin County, you start the same way: with a free 15-minute consultation.

Counseling in your language
Counseling may be available in English, Spanish, Croatian, Mandarin, Portuguese, and Korean, depending on the therapist’s location and availability.
Tell us at your consult which language you’d prefer. We’ll check who is free and be honest if no one is.
Some clients use their first language for part of a session and English for the rest. That’s fine. Your therapist will follow what feels natural to you.
Growing up between cultures
Our team serves clients from many cultural backgrounds. Some come in because family expectations pull one way and their own hopes pull another. Some feel they don’t fully belong anywhere.
Others are parents raising kids in a culture they didn’t grow up in. The gap can show up in school, in dating, in faith, or at the dinner table.
A therapist who gets that doesn’t need it explained from scratch. You can spend the session on what’s hard instead of on background.
How we match you
We don’t fill the first open slot. At your consult we ask what’s going on, what you want help with, and what matters in a therapist.
That can include specialty, personality, schedule, location, cost, culture, faith, or language. Then we suggest someone based on fit.
If cost is a concern, we may be able to recommend an associate-level counselor who offers a lower rate. If Mosaic Way isn’t the right fit, we’ll still help you think through another direction.
Help for adults
Worry is the most common reason adults reach out. It can look like racing thoughts at night, a knot before meetings, or dread you can’t name. See anxiety counseling.
Help for teens and kids
If your teen is feeling school pressure, a therapist can help. Some teens talk easily. Others open up more through art, music, or writing. See teen counseling.
For younger children, play often says more than words. Our dedicated playrooms give kids that outlet, and some of our child therapists start working with kids as young as 3. See child and play therapy.
Couples and trauma work
Couples come in over repeated fights, distance, or broken trust. Some want to start a marriage on solid ground. See couples counseling.
If a past event still feels close, EMDR therapy is one option. ART, CPT, and TF-CBT are others our team is trained in.
If no one speaks your language
Sometimes the therapist who speaks your language has no opening. Or they work at a different office. We’ll tell you that plainly at the consult.
Then we’ll talk through options. That might be a virtual session with a therapist at another office. Or it might be a therapist who gets your background, with sessions in English.
Faith and counseling
If you’d like Christian counseling, ask for it. It’s available when a client requests it.
If you practice another faith, or none, you’re just as welcome. Your beliefs are never assumed or pushed.
Parents raising kids between cultures
Some parents come in because home and school feel like two different worlds. A child may speak one language with grandparents and another with friends.
That can be a strength. It can also create tension about rules, dating, grades, or who the child is becoming. Family sessions give everyone a chance to be heard.
Your first session
Expect a conversation, not a test. You’ll talk about what’s been hard lately and what you’d like to be different. When a therapist who speaks your language is available, you can use it.
By the end, you’ll have a sense of whether this therapist feels right. If not, tell us.
Teens between two worlds
Teens raised between cultures often feel pulled. They may act one way at home and another at school. Some feel they don’t fully fit in either place.
A therapist can give them room to sort out who they are, without taking sides against the family.
Visits, hours, and cost
In-person sessions happen at our Frisco office. Our Frisco office is open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm, and closed Sunday. Session times vary by therapist. Some of our therapists also meet by secure video with anyone located in Texas.
Our offices are built to feel warm and calm, not clinical. Entrances, parking, and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Sessions generally range from $100 to $200. The rate depends on the therapist’s license, experience, and the type of service. Couples and family sessions may have a different rate. We take cash, credit cards, and debit cards. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for eligible services.
We accept most eligible Aetna plans. That coverage runs through some of our associate-level counselors and licensed master social workers. They bill under a clinical supervisor. We check your coverage before you book.
Most of our fully licensed therapists are private pay. You may still be able to use out-of-network benefits. When it makes sense, we can give you a superbill. That’s a detailed receipt you send to your plan. It doesn’t guarantee you’ll be paid back.
