We are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ask for a free 15-minute consultation and a person calls you back. We listen first. Then we suggest a therapist we think fits. If we are not right for you, we say so.
Carrollton’s Best Rated Therapists on Google
Search for counseling in Carrollton and you get a list with no shape. Some are in Denton County. Some are in Dallas County. Some are 40 minutes away in traffic. None tell you where you would actually sit.
Here is ours. In-person sessions happen at our office at 18383 Preston Road, Suite 427, a short drive east, with our Addison and North Dallas team. We also meet by secure video with clients anywhere in Texas. Many people do both, coming in some weeks and logging on others.
Carrollton has more than one center
Most therapy pages treat Carrollton as one flat place. It is not.
Carrollton had 133,434 residents at the 2020 census. That makes it the 27th largest city in Texas. It sits in three counties: Dallas, Denton, and Collin. Families are split across three school districts, sometimes on the same street. Those are Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Lewisville ISD, and Dallas ISD. The 75006, 75007, and 75010 ZIP codes cover areas with little in common.
Old Denton Road holds Koreatown. It is home to the largest Korean community in Texas and the South. The Original Town grid downtown dates to the 1840s. Newer streets north of Trinity Mills feel like a different city.
Fit is not just about specialty. It is about whether the person across from you knows the home you go back to.
What Carrollton clients come to us for
Our team includes clinicians with advanced training in EMDR therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, CBT, DBT, and somatic work. Not every therapist offers every one.
Your therapist explains the method in plain words before you start. The National Institute of Mental Health has a clear guide to caring for your mental health and knowing when to seek professional support.
Adults, teens, couples, and families in Carrollton work with our therapists on:
- Anxiety counseling for worry that will not shut off, and panic
- Depression and low motivation
- Trauma and PTSD counseling, including things from childhood
- Grief counseling after a loss
- Stress and burnout
- Marriage counseling for couples conflict
- Relationship patterns that keep repeating
- Parenting concerns and family conflict
- Life changes such as a move, a divorce, or a career shift
Language and cultural fit
Carrollton is one of the most multilingual cities in North Texas. That matters. The whole point of therapy is saying things you have never said out loud.
Counseling may be available in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Croatian, Portuguese, and Korean, depending on the therapist’s location and availability. Tell us during your consultation if language matters to you. We will tell you honestly what is open.
Some clients want a therapist who shares their background. Others do not. Both are fine. Neither needs explaining.
Appointments that fit a Carrollton schedule
The most common complaint we hear is not about cost. It is that the only openings are at 11 a.m. on a Tuesday.
Weeknight appointments run until 8 p.m. Saturday runs until 3 p.m. If coming in means fighting the Tollway or I-35E at rush hour, take that week by video. Online counseling across Texas is available to clients at this practice, and nobody has to justify the switch.
What happens if the therapist is not right
Say so. We move you to another counselor in the practice. You do not start your search from zero.
This is the practical reason to pick a group practice. Our therapists have no minimum caseloads. They also meet regularly to talk through cases, with identifying details removed. If your therapist needs another view, there is a room of colleagues to ask.
Start with a free 15-minute call
Tell us what is going on and what your week looks like. We will suggest a therapist and a time. We will also say whether in person or video makes more sense. Call 214-326-0263 or request a free 15-minute consultation online.
Fees, insurance, and payment
Individual sessions generally run $100 to $200. Couples and family sessions may cost a different amount. The rate depends on the therapist’s license and experience. We tell you the fee before you schedule, not after.
Some of our associate-level counselors and licensed master social workers accept eligible Aetna plans through our supervisory billing program. Most of our fully licensed therapists are private pay. Coverage and clinician participation are verified before scheduling.
When appropriate, we can provide a superbill you may submit to your insurance company. A superbill does not guarantee reimbursement.
We take cash, credit cards, and debit cards. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for eligible services.
