Family Counseling in Southlake, TX
When one person in a family struggles, everyone feels it. Tension at dinner. The same fight on repeat. A teen who’s shut down. A big change that threw everyone off.
These aren’t signs your family is broken. They’re signs you could use some support.
At Mosaic Way Counseling, our Southlake therapists help families talk better, resolve conflict, and rebuild trust. We meet in person at our Southlake office or online anywhere in Texas.
What We Help With
Parent-child conflict. Blended family challenges. Divorce affecting kids. A child or teen dealing with anxiety, depression, or acting out. Grief. A move. A new school.
This kind of therapy focuses on the relationships between family members, not just one person. Your therapist works with the family as a unit.
Families in This Community
Carroll ISD is known for high expectations. In neighborhoods like Timarron, Estes Park, and Carillon, kids grow up surrounded by pressure. Parents juggle demanding jobs while trying to stay present at home.
These are good families doing their best. Sometimes the pressure creates cracks that are hard to fix alone.
Our Approach
Sessions are 50 minutes. Depending on your needs, the whole family may attend. Or it may be a mix of individual and group meetings.
Our therapists are trained in EMDR, and several are EMDR-certified. We also have therapists trained in play therapy for kids ages 2 to 7.
What It Costs
Sessions run $50 to $200 depending on licensure. We accept Aetna, Cigna, and Optimum directly. For other plans, we provide a monthly superbill you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer family counseling in person or online?
Both. You can meet at our Southlake office or online anywhere in Texas. Sessions can include the whole family or a mix of members.
Do all family members need to attend?
Not always. Your therapist suggests who should come based on the situation. Sometimes the whole family comes. Other times it’s just the parents, or a parent and child.
How is this different from individual therapy?
Individual therapy focuses on one person. Family therapy focuses on how members relate to each other. The therapist works with the family as a system.
Do you take insurance?
We accept Aetna, Cigna, and Optimum directly. For other plans, we give you a monthly superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
