Lauren serves as Mosaic Way Counseling’s Virtual Receptionist and is often one of the first friendly voices individuals connect with when reaching out for support. She understands that taking the first step toward counseling can feel vulnerable, and she works to ensure every person who contacts Mosaic Way is met with warmth, patience, and respect. Lauren considers it a privilege to help create a welcoming and supportive first step for those seeking care.

She enjoys helping guide clients through the early stages of getting connected, making the process of beginning therapy feel clear and approachable. Whether assisting with scheduling, answering questions, or helping a client pair with the right therapist, Lauren strives to create a positive and supportive experience for each person who reaches out.

Lauren’s friends often describe her as an old soul: gentle, thoughtful, and creative. Outside of work and school, she enjoys knitting, reading, baking sourdough, and spending time with her family. Small rhythms like creative hobbies and time set aside for spiritual growth help her stay grounded and present.

Bio & Background

Professional Background

Lauren is an aspiring therapist pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern Methodist University. She is passionate about learning more about the full client journey within a counseling practice. Her academic interests include trauma-informed care and the relationship between neuroscience and emotional wellbeing. Her background in ballet, where she trained for 15 years, and her experience in academic research sparked her interest in understanding people and the connection between mind and body.

Before joining Mosaic Way Counseling, Lauren gained experience supporting both academic research and administrative teams, where she contributed to projects exploring the connection between stress, physical health, and mental health. These experiences strengthened her organizational skills while deepening her interest in the intersection of research, clinical care, and ethical practice.

Through her role at Mosaic Way Counseling, Lauren is gaining valuable experience in the operational, ethical, and administrative processes that support quality client care. She enjoys learning how the behind-the-scenes work of a counseling practice helps create a smooth and supportive experience for clients from their very first interaction.

As she continues her journey toward becoming a counselor, Lauren hopes to carry forward what she is learning about creating environments where people feel welcomed, supported, and seen from the very first interaction.
