About Ximena
I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified School Counselor with years of experience in advocating for students in the school system, special education, and behavior interventions. I am a dedicated therapist who can connect with and empathize with children, adolescents, and families. I specialize in play therapy, CBT, EMDR, talk therapy, ADHD, ADD, anxiety, depression, negative self-concept, problematic school behavior, and grief.
My experience working with families of domestic violence helped prepare me to walk with and sit with clients in hard places by gently challenging them, helping them restore a sense of self, and building authentic relationships with family and others.
I desire to walk graciously alongside families as they find healing using empathy and personal connection.
Professional Background
I received a BS in Social Science and a Minor in Industrial Psychology, Masters in Business Administration (MBA), a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. I am currently working towards a doctorate in psychology.
